A craving ...

Is it considered imprudent and irresponsible to want a $100 laundry hamper? It is an awfully cute hamper that would look adorable in Williams' nursery. And it definitely would make the dirty laundry look much more inviting to do. But how am I going to make Eddie see this and understand? I might be able to get along without it for now, but it is definitely going on my must-have-someday list.

Filling Daddy's shoes...

William is a daddy's boy. Last week he learned his first word. He followed Eddie around saying "dada". As you can imagine, Eddie was quite pleased.

Water Baby

Last Sunday afternoon was a warm one and after sitting in our non airconditioned apartment we decided water was a must. So we stole the Tolly's canoe, stuck a life jacket on little William and rowed out to the middle of Spring Valley to enjoy some fishing and a bit of swimming. William not only loves the water but also loves to hang over the side of the canoe. One thing I must say is great fishermen we are not, but we did have a lovely time all the same.

A good evening...

One evening last week we all decided we needed some adventure. So we packed up the fishing gear, the beer and the babies and drove to Spring Valley. The men fished and the women drank and watched the kids. We laughed and had a grand time till the sun set. Then we packed up the fishing gear, the empty bottles and the babies and drove home.

Birthday and Fairwell Parties

In the same weekend we celebrated Lindseys' birthday and Lorna's fair well party at our home. Since Darcy is sensitive to many different things, we went the simple route for Lindsey's party and served coconut ice cream from the co-op. Which if you ever have the chance try it. And for Lorna, we toasted her away with one last Champagne Thursday.

Fishing

Eddie and I have found Spring Valley to be the perfectly simple get away. It is only about twenty minutes from home which makes it an easy and relaxing spontaneous evening activity. And it is free. We go there to fish, hike and swim on the hot days (which we have not had yet, but hopefully soon).

A new toy.

More teeth!

William is now eight months old and already has four teeth with two on the way.He loves to chew on things and he loves his tongue hanging out.

Our busy boy

As you can see, it takes up most of my day just trying to keep up with this little guy.
Just looking for a snack in the fridge...

Hiding under the table....

He found the Tupperware drawer...

Dad comes home and gives mom a break...

The trip home from the coast and the week Sunny came to visit.

On our way home we made a few stops to see the sites. We stopped at a museum and Multnomah Falls.
