Hell's Half Acre

Sunday. After church Eddie and I waited for the rain storm to pass then drove 40 miles west of Casper to Hell's Half Acre. Also known as "The Devil's Kitchen", "The Pits of Hades", and "The Baby Grand Canyon" until a cowhand appeared and thought he was at Hell's Half Acre, an area southwest of Casper full of alkali and bogs. Native American tribes used the ravines to drive thousands of buffalo to their deaths during their hunts, according to Wikipedia. Encompancing over 300 acres, Hell's Half Acre is going to be a common weekend destination for us. Eddie had a field day looking for arrowheads! And William had a grand time stuffing his pockets full of rocks.
