William Update.

William is 18 months. Another big milestone.
He is growing taller, but not much wider.
We struggle every day to get enough food into that busy man.
He loves to run. Run into things and trip over things.
He has already had teeth marks in the lip because of a spill off a chair and the chin caught the desk ledge on the way down. He continue to have bumps and bruises on the forehead and just this week he fell in the closet and scraped his chin on a basket. Thankful there have been no broken bones or need for stitches. But I am sure we will get there.
William went to the doctor last week for the first time for a wellness visit. And for shots. Doctor and nurses deemed him both healthy and busy.
He is teething still. He has both top and bottom molars and now is working on getting his bottom cuspids.
William is talking more and more. We are still working on putting words and sentences together. But he can make almost all his barn animal sounds and knows what a coyote says thanks to Grandma Paul. He is imitating Eddie and I more and more. He can say "juice" and we working on saying "orange" last night. He is close.
He loves Dr. Sues books. "Fox in Socks" and "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" are his ultimate favorite and we seem to read them both at least once a day. Before reading time William has to bring his beloved mouse and blanket and set them in my lap. Then he settles in and we read.
William is starting to enjoy watching television. I know that sounds terrible but every once and a while I will turn on a children's program from the library and it keeps him calm and occupied for a while so I can actually get a few things done.
He has officially switched to one nap a day. He is still a good sleeper and his nap is around three hours long and then he sleeps all night.

William is such an obvious pooper. He makes a very serious face, grabs on to the nearest peace of furniture and occasionally lets out a grunt. Because of this we are working on getting him familiar with the toilet. No potty training quite yet but we have had a few successful days of using the toilet. Less diapers, and William loves it. He smiles and gets to flush all by himself.
William weaned himself off formula completely a few months ago and now he loves his whole milk and mega green juice.
William has this new fascination with clothing. He loves to put on shoes, jackets and vests. Just the other day he put on a pair of pants. We are still working on where everything should go because the pants ended up on his head.
William is a true boy. He loves trucks and cars. As soon as he sees a truck he makes the motor noise. He can sit forever just playing with his trucks and cars on the kitchen floor while I do the dishes.
He is also Eddie's son. He has this need that every time we get in or out of the car he has to collect a rock or two. He has a nice rock collection on his bookcase in his room. We went to the office last week to visit Eddie and as always William had a rock in his hand. Eddie looked proudly by as all his coworkers told him his son is going to be a geologist someday.
