William and I took a trip down to visit Eddie about a month ago when he was working up in Pierce on the road construction surveying crew. First we got lost on the drive up. With all the road construction, we ended up driving up a road that had been closed down and somehow I missed the signs saying "CLOSED". That added an extra hour to our 2 1/2 hour drive. We finally pulled in after dark to the dingy motel Eddie was staying in. He had dinner ready for us when we got there which consisted of a microwave meal for both of us and beer. It was lovely. The next morning we all woke early, Eddie left to work and William and I piled back into the car and drove home. It was a lovely drive in the light.
